Shopping tip for the deli department

I was at the grocery store the other day and I was getting cold cuts, I don’t like to buy to much in advance and I only buy about 100 grams of each.

Every time, the deli cut the meat of my choice, they added up to 30 grams of each one, and ask, is that OK?  For the first time ever, I said no.  It saved me about $1.50 that grocery visit.  Assuming that I do that just twice a week, it comes to about $156 a year.  All the little things add up to be a big savings.  I usually throw out one or two slices each time I get deli meat.  Not any more.

If you only ask for 100 grams, get 100 grams and it’s ok to say on the low side.  Better yet, if you know how many slices you will need, ask for them by slices and don’t feel obligated to take something you did not order.
